BACK IN MANCHESTER!!!!!!!

anyways, i'm glad to be back here in Manchester. it sux being away from home, coz i miss my mummy and Molly very very much now, but hey, i'm very blessed to study in this vibrant city. oh my oh my, i forgot how hectic it is along the Oxford Road (Uni) during Freshers. so congested. and people kept giving out flyers for the freshers parties as i walked along the road. rimas.

i quite like my new room except that the closet is small and i have less shelves than the previous room i had last term. my need to get a chest of drawers to put my junks. owh the clothes. how much they have accumulated for the past 3 years i've been here. it was a pain to unpack my stuff that i received from the storage. there were only 8 boxes but still. arggghh..

Raya 09!

So long Malaysia. Hello again Manchester. I was sad to leave my family, especially my mum and my cat, Molly. Hehhe. But anyways, i’m looking forward as well to a new uni year. Yay! 2^nd year! I feel old though.

I had a great raya. Ok maybe great isn’t the word because i had better raya in the past years. Since i had been raya-ing in UK for the past 2 years, raya in Malaysia this year was a blessing. My whole family were at home. I had my cousins, aunties and uncles. Yes of course raya is not complete without going back to Taiping. All of us (my siblings and cousins) felt that way. So if things go the way we planned, we might be able to raya in Taiping next year! And yes, we shall buy lotsa mercun and bunga api and clean up the old house of Abdul Malik and Peni Sunestri (my grandparents) so that we can all have the raya like we used to.

Anyways, this year’s raya was hectic. 4 days in a row people kept on coming to my house. Apakah kan? And since Bibik went back to Indo for raya, i had to help mummy out at the kitchen and do a bit of house chores. Oooh my friends came to my house as well. 1 group of KTJians on 3^rd raya and a group of Sjians on the 4^th raya. Thanks for coming darlings! You guys are the best! =)

Currently at Dubai international airport. Too congested! I’m annoyed! And the internet is crappy. Neways, will put up some raya pics when i reach Manchester. My flight is in less than 2 hours.

Batch and Nina - the longest tho (11 YEARS!!!!) I LOVE U GUYS! cheh.. sangat terharu actually coz dpt buat pre raya ngan korang after for SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LONG!

as for me, i will be RAYA-ing in Kelana Jaya with my mom's family! YIPPEEEE!!! my sisters and I miss raya-ing in Taiping but what's the point of going back kampung when everyone's here right? think we should balik Taiping for next year's raya.

huhu. 5 more days to go back to Manchester. lazy to go back to the hectic life there. i'm now used to being lazy at home. =(

anyways, raya is coming and i have the itch to cut my hair again. some people like my hair short, and some like it long (shoulder length). i personally like my hair short. and i have the thought of having Paris' hairstyle above. do u think it suits me?? yes or no just post in your answers coz i like to know what you people think. yes. y'all know already that i'm a TV series freak. it's September now, and it's the start for the new seasons for all TV series i've been following religiously.

so this week, 90210, Greek and America's Next Top Model are back.

done watching them on Youtube.

next week, One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl. and the list goes on.

i've just added one more tv series to my list - 10 Things I hate About You. but the first season just ended this week.

i was checking out CWTV's website and there are three new TV series that i'm so tempted to watch - The Vampire Diaries, Melrose Place and A Beautiful Life.

so if i add these to my list, i will not study!

ok. maybe not to that extent. we'll see.

if you've been reading my blog, you know that i'll be living with Alvin, Antony, and Nadia for this coming uni term. there's an extra bedroom in our flat and it's already been filled. by a British Pakistani guy. yehhh.. was chatting with Alvin and he's already moved into the new flat. the only thing i hope from him is to be a clean guy who doesn't mess up the kitchen. PLEASEEEEE!

i'm just hoping for no Malaysian drama in my flat coz i was in the middle of British drama last term. and oh God it was stressful! i want my 2nd year to be drama free. ok? and also 2nd year to be as great as or better than my 1st year.

oh.. 12 more days. can i bring everyone that i love back to UK with me please??

To Be Thin

i'm gonna make this loud and clear.

despite my very small body, i have no eating disorder.. nor do i control my eating.

i eat like a pig.

i'm not shy to admit it.

but just so my readers know, some people, they thought they know me.... but they just don't.

i have a terribly high metabolic rate.

my weight can decrease easily but to go up... i must be a monster eater.

so if u think logically, in the month of Ramadhan, we tend to eat less than usual, no?

so there's a certain someone said that i lost weight. and suggested i should eat more.

excuse me? you've never lived with me nor are you even close to being my best friend and you have the nerve to say that i should eat more???

this is not me being out of my mind.

but note this, calling someone thin, looking thinner and even thinks that he/she is not eating as much IS WRONG!

infact, thin people eat like a hell lot compared to normal people.

(thin people = high metabolic rate people)

Shisha.. Harmful or not?

back then, Shisha-ing was said to be harmless or atleast less harmful than cigarette smoking. i used to believe this too coz i thought what could be harmful about smoking shisha?

however, recently, people started to tell me about shisha being more harmful than cigarette. and i was like shiieeeeeeeyttttttttt.... but i still don't wanna believe until Aina told me about an article about smoking shisha is harmful. so as i was so jobless working in the clinic today (no doctor, no patients and i brought my laptop) i went on Google to search about Shisha. oh well.. hate to say it, but shisha is EFFIN HARMFUL!!!

I know. you people who love shisha as much as i do are saying "NOOOOOOOOOOOO WAYYY". reality sucks.

from this article that i read, a doctor said that one shisha smoking session equals to 60 cigarettes. read this link people - http://www.yobserver.com/sports-health-and-lifestyle/10011652.html. i've no idea how true this statement is coz another doctor said that one shisha smoking session is equivalent to a pack of cigarettes.

but the point is.. shisha is definitely harmful. so to shisha smokers and addicts, you can either minimise your shisha smoking (say once a month) or stop completely or substitute it with cigarettes (only for those chronic shisha addicts). now option B is hard to do, so try option A first. if ur not even an addict and ur going for option C, then you're a dumbass.

my last shisha smoking session was in April. i'm no shisha addict. just a social smoker. but i do enjoy shisha. am i gonna give up shisha completely? i don't dare say. what i think i would do is, limit to maybe... 3 to 4 times a year?? hahhahah. we'll see. i shall stay away from Curry Mile in Manchester, where there are tons of shisha cafes.. hmm.. no no.. cant do. Curry Mile is like the hotspot for cheap and nice food in Manchester. or.. i shall not go to Curry Mile with shisha addicts.. haaa.. that sounds better.
